Everything We Know About ‘And Just Like That…’

SATC fans rejoice, we finally have a new instalment of the franchise with the highly anticipated ‘And Just Like That…’ series. Although the original Sex and the City ended in 2004, our most recent glimpse into the privileged New Yorkers lives was in 2010 for the second movie that was... interesting to say the least. So, what can we expect from And Just Like That? The 10-part series sees SJP, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon reprise their roles as Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda respectively but Kim Cattrall AKA Samantha Jones will not be making an appearance (what?!). And Just Like That will show how the trio navigate life in their 50s and introduce new cast members including people of colour and LGBTQ+ characters in an effort to finally make the show more inclusive and diverse.

And Just Like That Quotes

The 94 episodes of the OG Sex and the City series gave us endless iconic quotes and we can only hope that the And Just Like That quotes are half as memorable. Although some are better off left in the 90s, others remain as relevant as ever - “I like my money right where I can see it... Hanging in my closet”, well said Carrie, well said. Another classic from Carrie - “Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates, and guys are just people to have fun with”, I mean she’s not wrong. Who knows, maybe the And Just Like That quotes will become our new faves?

And Just Like That Style

And Just Like That... Sex and the City is back and we hope it brings a whole new batch of lewks that we can obsess over for years to come. We’ve already had a few sneak peeks at the And Just Like That costumes including this tutu ensemble from SJP that gives a subtle nod to the classic ‘fit from the SATC opening credits. Legendary costume designer Patricia Field was responsible for styling the SATC cast in previous years but she has passed the baton down to her protégée Molly Rogers for And Just Like That since she is busy working on series two of Emily in Paris… no pressure!

And Just Like That Release Date

Unfortunately there is still no news on the official release date of And Just Like That in the UK but filming is ongoing so a 2022 release is looking likely. While you’re waiting for the And Just Like That series to air, get re-watching the SATC series’ and the subsequent movies to get yourself re-familiarised with the franchise. 

We are eager to see what And Just Like That has in store for us but most importantly we can’t wait to see how the show has written out the irreplaceable Samantha Jones.
