Shake Things Up With A Mood Boostin’ Smoothie

If lockdown has you making more trips to the fridge than usual, we feel ya, sis. When you’re WFH and the kitchen is just a fee footsteps away, it seems impossible not to snack the day away, right? However, we all know that bad eating habits can make us feel bloated, sluggish and unproductive, and that combined with being confined to the four walls of your house, is not the one. Now, we aren’t saying that you need to give up chocolate, because we all need something a lil’ sweet to keep us going… But why not kickstart your day with some nutrition and get on the smoothie grind?

Smoothies are a fab way to get your 5-a-day down in one, and they taste lush. Here are some mood boosting smoothies that our team here at Femme Luxe are lovin’ ATM.

All you need is some of your fave fruit, veg, and a blender and your'e good to go, girl.

The Green Goddess

Release your inner goddess and kickstart your day the right way with a Green Goddess Smoothie. We love a fruit-veggie smoothie combo, and this delicious concoction is super easy to make.

What you’ll need

½ a cup of unsweetened almond milk

½ a cup of honey yoghurt

3 cups of baby spinach

2 bananas, sliced & frozen

Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

Gettin’ on the smoothie grind doesn’t mean you have to give up your fave pastries. The Blueberry Muffin Smoothie is totally insta’ worthy, and will help you feel like a true health queen while you zip on the lush taste of smoothie goodness. The key is to blend half of the blueberries with the rest of the ingredients, and use the other half as toppings (same as the oats), and you’re good to go!

What you’ll need

2 cups of milk (almond for dairy alternative)

1 cup of vanilla or greek yogurt

1 cup of frozen blueberries

1 cup of oats

2 Tbsp. of honey

1 tsp. Of vanilla extract

½ tps of cinnamon

Large handful of crushed ice

Wake Me Up Coffee Smoothie

If you are a coffee lover, why not switch things up and go for a coffee smoothie? It feels like forever since we’ve been able to sit and relax in our fave coffee shop, but the Wake Me Up Coffee Smoothie will deffo’ fill that void while we are in lockdown, babe.

What you’ll need

1 banana

½ cup of brewed coffee

½ cup of milk or dairy alternative

¼ of oats

Optional spoonful of peanut butter

Pink Strawberry Sunrise Smoothie
