With 2019 now in full swing and Jan nearly out of the way (finally!), we’re ready to dive into some of the best forecasted beauty trends for the year ahead. All beauty addicts love trying new trends and we’ve got a feeling that you won’t be able to resist giving these a go. Read on for a look at the best beauty trends to watch in ‘19.
Neon Notes
Neon has been huge in fashion recently and this trend is quickly spreading to the world of beauty, with neon hair and make-up starting to seriously trend. We love Kendall Jenner’s neon lime eyeliner, it’s a look that’s totally easy to recreate (with a steady hand!) and would add a pop of citrus colour to your next insta selfie. Cardi B’s neon hair is total goals and we love how she’s matched it with a hot pink shadow. Recreate the look with a good eyeshadow primer and a hot pink pigment patted onto the lid with a dash of highlighter in the inner corner of the eye and some killer lashes. Keep your clothes matching like Kendall or break it up with a pattern like Cardi has in her monochrome stripe suit.
Au Naturale
If 2018 was all about heavy contouring, 2019’s biggest beauty trend is the natural look. We’re loving the peach and pink natural tones and simple eyes we’ve been seeing recently. This trend is perf for the lazy girl who loves an extra five mins in bed every morning. Keep the skin light with a dewy foundation or tinted moisturiser and team with your fave peach/pink blusher and a simple flick of liner. Keep the lips matte like Kylie with a soft pink matte lipstick or glossy like Bella with a nude liner and gloss. We love Kylie’s take on this look with natural, glossy waves and Bella’s slick bun. This look is super easy to recreate, so put down the contour kit and experiment with a natural glow. Keep up your skincare routine to give yourself a head start to this gorj look, we’re loving witch hazel skin care products for a lit within healthy glow.
Glossy Girl
Glossy eyes are set to be huge, with searches for glossy lids going up like crazy. This look gives you a total high fash feel, but it’s easy to take this look from runway to real life. We love Rihanna’s simple, neutral glossy lids paired with her glowy, highlighted skin. You don’t have to jump in right at the deep end with a bright coloured gloss lid (although go for it if you wanna!), you can experiment with neutral shades to ease yourself in to all things glossy. Try a gold or bronze shade of eyeshadow swept across the lid with a clear gloss patted on top for a total ‘gram worthy look. Wanna make a real statement? Try a burgundy or even a bright yellow with extra gloss and a little glitter patted on top. Yep, we’re obsessed.

Forget the matte lip, this year is all about super glossy 00s style lips. Take inspo from Ari in her ‘Thank u next’ video with a pink gloss lip or rock a statement glossy nude lip liner and lip gloss combo like Kim K. With so many different shades and finishes to go for, like metallic, glitter, iridescent and clear, try out all the different types of gloss and find your fave. Keep it natural with paired down makeup to match or go all out like a Kardashian with a dark smokey eye and sultry nude lipgloss. Wear everyday with a matching tone to your casj outfit or look like a boss babe in your office-wear with a slick of clear gloss.
