Glastonbury Survival Guide
Heading to Glastonbury festival this weekend and panicking over what to pack, how to carry it all and most importantly, what you’re gonna be wearing? Girl, you’ve come to the right place. Packing for a festival is stressful with a capital S - especially with how unpredictable British summertime weather can be. Let our handy Glastonbury survival guide do all the hard work for you so you can focus on working out how you’re gonna smuggle in your cans of dark fruit and bottles of vodka.
Daytime Outfits
Comfort is key when it comes to packing your daytime outfits. While you’re trying to fight off a hell of a hangover from the night before, you’re gonna be spending most of the days chillin’ out and listening to your fave artists with your fave people. Think bodysuits to pair with denim shorts, oversized t-shirts look great with cycling shorts and cute frilly day dresses paired with black lace up biker boots are a festival must. Ditch your hoodies and jumpers and focus on layering, you’ll thank us later when your bag doesn’t weigh a tonne.
Make A Statement
Festivals are a perfect opportunity to make bold statements and rock outfits that you wouldn’t normally be able to wear. Keep it cliche and do you, boo! Kill it crochet, floral prints, fringing and sequins. Channel your inner basic babe. Sheer bodysuits and mesh dresses are a perfect way to steal the spotlight and stand out in style if you’re in the mood to flash a lil bit of skin. Want something that’s quick and easy? Go for co-ords. We are currently obsessed with crochet rainbow co-ords with a front tie bardot top. Embroidery, colour blocking, crop tops and flares are all styles you could embrace this festival season if you’re feeling brave enough, girl.
Footwear
Think practical. Before even consider packing your crisp white trainers, remember you’re going to an outdoor festival… in the UK. It rains a hell of a lot here, summer time or not. Pack your wellies, biker boots and hiking shoes. If the weather is on your side, espadrille sandals look incred with most festival fits as well as chunky platform trainers. Be sure to pack both, just in case...
Accesories
Amid the stress of working out what to take with you, accessories will probably be pushed to the bottom of your priority list. But truth be told, having the right accessories can make or break your outfit. And on the plus side, the don’t have up much room in your bag. Strip it back to basics, pack a small bag. Whether that’s a bum bag, a mini cross body bag or tiny back pack. Just make sure you can fit all of your essentials and valuables in that you don’t feel comfortable leaving in your tent. Next, some sunnies! They hide your hungover eyes, block the sun and you can have a lil nap behind them without anyone knowing if it’s all getting too much.
