International Coffee Day; How To Make A Pumpkin Spice Latte

Nothing says Autumn is here more than Starbucks adding the pumpkin spice latte back on their menu, and we are totally here for it. To celebrate International Coffee Day, we are gonna let you in on how to make a pumpkin spice latte at home, along with all the ingredients and equipment you’ll need. Libra season, spook season and pumpkin spice latte season, can Autumn get any better?

First things first, make sure you have all the correct ingredients to create the most delicious homemade pumpkin spice latte. It’s time to put your barista skills to the test, babe!

Ingredients

2 cups of milk (dairy or dairy alternative does the trick, boo!)

2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree

1-3 teaspoons of sugar (sweetness level is up to you, hun)

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (and a lil’ extra for serving)

½ cup of strong coffee

Alllll the whipped cream for serving

Step 1 - Begin by heating the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spices sugar and vanilla extract on the hob. You can use dairy milk, but we are absolutely loving our pumpkin spice lattes with oat milk or almond milk right now.

Step 2 - Separate the pumpkin spice latte milk into two mugs, one for mixing with your coffee and one for frothing. Take the mug with the regular pumpkin spice latte milk and add it to your coffee, and give it a stir, babe. Once the pumpkin spice latte milk and coffee are combined, add your frothed pumpkin spiced latte milk to the top to create that lush latte look.

Step 3 - Now it’s time to make your pumpkin spice latte look pretty AF! Add some whipped cream to the top, along with pumpkin pie spice sprinkled on top for that insta’ worthy look. Meeting your squad for a socially distanced picnic at the park? Bring along a flask of your homemade pumpkin spice latte for guaranteed compliments. Starckbucks, who?
